Saturn was the Roman name for Cronus, the lord of the titans in Greek mythology. Saturn is the root of the English word ''Saturday''. Saturn is one of the Outer Planets or ''Gas Giants''. It is made mostly of hydrogen and helium. Saturn is the second largest planet. It can hold 760 Earths. Saturn is the farthest visible planet from Earth. Galileo was the first to observe it when he was looking through his telescope in 1610. Saturn's first visit came from Pioneer 11 in 1979. Later on it was visited by Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. The first moon discovered on Saturn was discovered in 1655. Saturn is roughly 95 times Earth's mass. Saturn spins faster than any other planet except Jupiter. Saturn is 885,904,700 miles away from the sun. Even though Saturn is just ranked behind Jupiter, It is way smaller than it.
